Our eyes are attracted to colorful things. Color gives life to paintings, drawings, photographs and television. If everything were in black and white there wouldn’t be much to characterize what we see. There are many ways to teach our children the basic colors. Some can be fun and interesting and some can be boring. Teaching our children colors by playing games is not only fun but also it gives them different ways to learn something basic. We can also read children’s books that focus on colors.  Here are some great suggestions for teaching our children about colors:

a)books

b)flashcards

c)food

d)painting

e)worksheet

f)color poems and songs

g)colouring pages

i)games

teaching colours does not have to be boring. inject a bit of fun into the process. at a young age, kids are a blank state. fill them up with good learning!
